Program description

WoodGreen partners with the Toronto District School Board to deliver the Day Treatment (School Program) at Wexford Collegiate School for the Arts. This program supports high school students ages 12 to 17 who face significant challenges such as academic difficulties, attendance issues, mental health concerns, family problems, or other persistent barriers that prevent successful attendance at a community school.

Students receive intensive therapeutic support designed to help them manage these challenges and work toward reintegration into the mainstream school system.

Each school day includes three academic periods alongside one therapeutic treatment period. During the therapeutic period, students explore their strengths and develop important life skills such as anger management, communication, relationship building, self-esteem, responsibility, stress management, substance use awareness, and problem solving.

Students actively participate in planning their individual program and setting future goals to support their personal growth and academic success.

This program was previously run by Turning Point Youth Services, which has now integrated with WoodGreen. Click here to learn more.
