  • Will any training or orientation be offered?

We would never think of placing you in a role without training! We provide a general orientation session all our volunteers regardless of the position they apply for, in addition to other training opportunities throughout the year.

  • Do you require background screening?

Yes. All of our roles require you to complete a vulnerable sector screening (police background check) prior to working with clients. If you do not have an existing screening that has been completed in the last 12 months, WoodGreen will provide you with the application form for Toronto Police. Depending on your address, you need to apply for police check in your area. There may be a charge for this service as levied by you police jurisdiction.

However, due to the current COVID-19 situation, you could be required to complete an online BackCheck for some positions that don’t involve in-person activities and direct contact with clients.
