2. SKILL DEVELOPMENT AND SPECIALIZED TRAINING
Work Initiative Network (WIN)
This six-month, part-time employment program is tailored to the needs of clients with mental health issues. Sessions address workplace accommodation, disclosure, stress management and job maintenance, as well as practical job search skills.
Transition to Success
This free, five-month training program for women offers training for Microsoft Office Certification, paid internships, case management and financial counselling.
Community Connections
This program offers a range of resources for newcomers and Internationally Trained Professionals as they settle in Canada, including career mentorship, job search strategies and language training with community volunteers.
Social Media Content Creation Using Adobe
A free, five-week training program for youth interested in a career in arts and technology. Participants learn the basics of video and photo editing, then design a social media campaign with instructor support.
VFX Compositing
This VFX training program is designed to give Black youth a competitive edge as they launch careers in digital compositing. Over 23 weeks, participants gain the knowledge and experience necessary to find post-production work. Training includes a six-week paid internship.
