Program description

WoodGreen’s Community Counselling program offers short-term mental health counselling and coordinated support for youth ages 12 to 17 and their families. The program helps young people manage a wide range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts, self-harm, family conflict, school issues, trauma, substance use, bullying, and involvement with the justice system.

Through weekly counselling sessions over a 6- to 9-month period, youth work one-on-one with a clinician to reduce symptoms, strengthen mental health and well-being, build coping strategies, and develop life skills. Sessions are offered in person at 95 Wellesley Street East, as well as virtually or by phone. Both daytime and evening appointments are available to accommodate diverse schedules.

This program was previously run by Turning Point Youth Services, which has now integrated with WoodGreen. Click here to learn more.
