We have a limited number of college and university placements available for students who are preparing to work in the social services sector. This is an opportunity to contribute to innovative and impactful programs while working alongside an experienced team.

Our Process
1. Application
Select the volunteer opportunity that interests you and click "Apply". You will be redirected to our Volunteer Portal to complete this portion.
2. Police Check
Some positions require a police check; this is to ensure the safety and security of our volunteers and clients.
3. Reference Check
Please note that we require two references (personal/professional).
Student Placement - Lead Generation Support (PBI ref. 89)
The Lead Generation Student will support WoodGreen’s Corporate Engagement and Workforce Solutions team by identifying and engaging employers with hiring and workforce development needs.
Housing Coordination Support (PBI ref. 77)
The Placement Student will Support the Housing Services team in the coordination of community engagement initiatives, activities, food programs, and administrative tasks.
The Food Access Program Support (PBI ref.88)
The Food Access Program Support Student will gain practical experience supporting community nutrition, food security initiatives, and food service operations within supportive housing programs.
Client Support - Supportive Housing (PBI ref. 87)
The Client Support Student / Program Support Student will gain hands-on experience supporting recreation, food security, harm reduction, case management, and community engagement initiatives within a supportive housing environment for older adults.
Teacher Support Digital Literacy and Microsoft Office (PBI Ref. 86)
The Teacher’s Assistant will support digital literacy and Microsoft Office training initiatives within the Homeward Bound program.
Seniors Active Living Centres (PBI ref.85)
The Placement Student, Seniors Active Living Centres will support programs and services that promote social inclusion, wellness, and community engagement for older adults.
Student Placement- Event Coordination Support (PBI ref.90)
The Event Coordination Support will assist WoodGreen’s Workforce Solutions and Employment Services teams in coordinating hiring events, candidate screening activities, and employer recruitment initiatives across multiple WoodGreen locations.
Student Placement - Payroll Support (PBI ref84)
The Payroll Support Placement Student will support the Payroll team with document management, filing, records organization, and payroll administration activities.
Student Placement - Administrative Support for Housing Department (PBI ref-83)
The will support the Housing department through research, project coordination, data analysis, and administrative activities.
Student Placement - Living Standards Response Team Support (PBI ref-82)
The LSRT Case Manager Student will support the Living Standards Response Team (LSRT) in assisting tenants experiencing housing stability, safety, and living standards challenges.
Student Placement: Community Development (PBI ref-F81)
The Community Development Placement Student will support the planning, coordination, and delivery of tenant-focused programs, workshops, and community events within supportive housing buildings.
Housing Operations & Administrative Support (PBI ref-F80)
The Housing Administrative Support Student will support the Housing team with administrative coordination, tenant engagement, and housing operations across supportive housing communities.
Student Placement - Supportive Housing (PBI ref-F78)
The Placement Student – Supportive Housing will gain hands-on experience supporting vulnerable adults and seniors within a supportive housing environment
Student Placement - Event Management Support (PBI ref-F91)
The Event Management Support Placement Student will support the planning, coordination, and delivery of corporate volunteer engagement events across WoodGreen.
Newcomer Program Support Student (ref-F79)
The Program Support Student will support Newcomer Services programs that assist immigrants, refugees, and newcomers in successfully settling and integrating into their communities.
Monitoring & Evaluation Support Student (F76)
The Monitoring & Evaluation Support Student will support the Volunteer & Student Services department in tracking, organizing, and analyzing program information to support reporting, evaluation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Employment Services Program Social Media Engagement & Outreach (PBI ref-73)
The social media & Marketing Support Student will support outreach efforts by promoting programs, events, and services through various digital platforms, while also assisting with basic administrative tasks.
Newcomer Services Administrative Support (PBI ref-74)
The Administrative Support Student will support day-to-day operations by supporting staff with general administrative tasks and providing client-facing support, helping ensure smooth program delivery and positive client experiences.
Administrative Support Volunteer and Student Services (ref-F92)
The Administrative Support Student will support the Volunteer & Student Services team with volunteer recruitment, community engagement initiatives, event planning, and administrative coordination.
Digital Marketing Program (PBI ref-71)
Assist with the design and implementation of existing social media plan, marketing and communication strategy, and community outreach activities to service providers.
