WoodGreen offers social, recreational and mental health services designed by and for young people. We provide youth with the support to find housing, financial counselling, wellness programs, education and employment opportunities.

Programs
Concurrent Program (CONNECTS)
The CONNECTS Program supports youth ages 16 to 24 who are experiencing housing instability along with mental health and substance use challenges.
Youth Justice Live-In Treatment (Redwood Program)
WoodGreen’s Redwood Program is a six-bed, gender-specific, live-in treatment open custody and open detention program for young males who are living with mental health challenges.
Youth in Transition Worker (YITW)
The program is tailored for youth (16-24 years old) with a history in care who may also be navigating mental health challenges, substance use, housing instability, or justice involvement
Keeping Families Together (KFT)
The Keeping Families Together program supports youth ages 12 to 16 who are experiencing serious conflict at home, have mental health concerns, and are at immediate risk of being placed in child protection care.
Youth Justice Mental Health Access Program
WoodGreen, in partnership with Central Toronto Youth Services, offers the Youth Justice Mental Health Access Program to provide specialized assessment and counselling support for youth involved in the justice system.
Youth Justice Live-In Treatment (Everett Program)
WoodGreen’s Everett Program is an eight-bed, gender-specific, live-in treatment residence for young males involved in the youth justice system who are living with mental health challenges. Youth are referred through courts and probation services.
In-Home Intensive Program for Youth (IHIP)
WoodGreen’s In-Home Intensive Program (IHIP) supports youth and families experiencing more complex mental health, behavioural, or relationship challenges that go beyond what traditional counselling can address.
Youth Live-In Treatment
WoodGreen’s Youth Live-In Treatment program offers youth ages 12 to 17 a safe, supportive, and therapeutic housing environment when mental health or substance use challenges make it difficult to live at home.
Emergency Youth Shelter
WoodGreen provides an Emergency Shelter for homeless and street-involved male and transgender youth aged 16 to 24 at our 95 Wellesley Street East location.
Youth Day Treatment (School Program)
WoodGreen partners with the Toronto District School Board to deliver the Day Treatment (School Program) at Wexford Collegiate School for the Arts.
PATH Program
WoodGreen’s PATH Program supports youth who are involved with the justice system by helping them build the skills, awareness, and support networks needed to strengthen their life path and reduce the risk of reoffending.
Youth Mental Health Court Worker Program (YMHCW)
WoodGreen’s Youth Mental Health Court Worker Program supports youth who are charged and required to attend court.
Youth Community Counselling
WoodGreen’s Community Counselling program offers short-term mental health counselling and coordinated support for youth ages 12 to 17 and their families.
Youth Wellness Centre (YWC)
The Youth Wellness Centre is a welcoming and inclusive space offering a range of services, including financial counselling, settlement programs, mental health support and access to community-based services to find supportive housing and employment opportunities.
Youth Housing Navigator
The Youth Housing Navigator (YHN) program support young individuals aged 16-30 in Toronto by helping them find and maintain safe and affordable housing.
Ìdà gbà Rites of Passage
Ìdà gbà Rites of Passage is a guided process supporting Black youth (age 12 – 24) as they transition into adulthood. Our African-oriented approach emphasizes cultural and community connections and nurtures a greater sense of purpose, responsibility and resilience.
Newcomer Youth Settlement
Designed for youth who are new to Canada, this program offers recreational, skill-building and mental health services, working with young newcomers as they make friends and settle into their new home.
ILEO Construction Union Employment Pathway Program
This program provides pre-employment training, union apprenticeships, paid work placements, and mentorship to help residents of the Scarborough Golden Mile neighbourhood launch successful careers in the skilled trades.
Building Maintenance Operator Training Program (BMOT)
This program is a six-week training initiative designed to prepare individuals for careers in building maintenance for residential buildings.
Pre-Apprenticeship and Trades Programs
WoodGreen offers free Pre-Apprentice and Trades Programs, catering to newcomers and those facing employment barriers to provide a pathway to high-demand trades. Participants undergo assessments for grade 12 Math and English and engage in Academic Upgrading to develop essential communication and numeracy skills for entry into skilled trades.
Plumbing Pre-Apprenticeship Level 1 Program
In partnership with George Brown College, this 15-week skills training program provides newcomers and jobseekers with an opportunity to start their skilled trades career in plumbing. Participants will have access to additional supports to assist them with their training throughout the program.
Personalized Career Accelerator (for Newcomers to Canada)
The Personalized Career Accelerator program (formerly known as Mentoring Pathways to Employment) helps skilled newcomers to succeed in a Canadian job search and connects them with a mentor with shared experiences who can support their journey.
Foundations for Youth Success
Funded by the United Way Greater Toronto, Foundations for Youth Success is designed for youth experiencing multiple or complex barriers to education and employment. Building on activities offered through the Youth Job Connection program, it aims to equip participants with the life skills needed to successfully engage in employment or employment readiness programs.
CNC/Precision Machining Skills Training Program
Delivered in partnership with George Brown College, this free training program is designed to prepare women and gender-diverse individuals for entry-level work in the manufacturing sector. The program includes Academic Upgrading, CNC/Precision Machining training, and the opportunity for a paid job placement.
Industrial Mechanic Millwright Pre-Apprenticeship Program
This free program equips students with skills related to the millwright trade, which involves installing, maintaining, diagnosing and repairing industrial machines. Delivered by George Brown College in partnership with WoodGreen, the program includes trade readiness, employment preparation and academic upgrading.
Visual Effects (VFX) Compositing
This VFX training program is designed to give Black youth a competitive edge as they launch careers in digital compositing. Over 23 weeks, participants gain the knowledge and experience necessary to find post-production work. Training includes a six-week paid internship.
Toronto Youth Job Corps Case Counselling
Our team provides Toronto Youth Job Corps participants with case management support to address life challenges affecting their program engagement.
