In partnership with Pro Bono Students Canada, WoodGreen is proud to introduce the Legal Information Clinic for Newcomers. This free service supports immigrants and refugees by helping them understand key immigration pathways, processes, and requirements. The clinic is designed to empower newcomers with clear, reliable information as they navigate the Canadian immigration system.
Our clinic is staffed by trained and vetted law student volunteers from the University of Toronto Faculty of Law and operates under the supervision of qualified, registered Law Society of Ontario (LSO) lawyers.
The program aims to:
Provide low-income newcomers with direct legal information assistance
Enhance legal information support for immigrants and refugees by streamlining legal application processes
PLEASE NOTE: This clinic provides legal information—such as explaining forms, processes, and general requirements—but does not provide legal advice, meaning it cannot offer personalized guidance, interpret how laws apply to individual cases, or recommend specific legal actions.
