Program Description

Community Connections offers a variety of resources for newcomers and Internationally Trained Professionals as they adapt to the Canadian workforce.

 

Career Mentorship

Skilled newcomers are paired with established Canadian mentors from similar professions to assist with transitioning and succeeding in the workplace.

 

Language and Communication Training Sessions

English Conversation Circles offer newcomers a chance to practice English with the guidance of English speakers in a casual, welcoming environment.

 

Sessions include ESL Social Club, pronunciation workshops and Public Speaking Club.

 

Professional Networking and Seminars

An opportunity to meet Community Connections volunteers, employers and guest speakers from diverse professional backgrounds to gain insight into Canadian business communications and culture.

 

Life coaching and career coaching seminars are also offered.
