About the position

This position is open to start in Fall 2025-Winter 2026 (the position is open until filled), and interviews will be conducted in August 2025.

 

The Enhancing Seniors Inclusion Grant program funds community-based grassroots initiatives that support the health, wellness, and inclusion of seniors. These projects are often volunteer-led, recognizing the vital role volunteers play in fostering meaningful engagement and stronger, more connected communities for older adults.

 

Reponsabilities

  • Assist with day-to-day program activities related to the Enhancing Seniors Inclusion Grant.
  • Support the coordination of both virtual and in-person workshops, training, and meetings.
  • Collect, organize, and record key program data: attendance sheets, meeting notes, evaluation forms.
  • Collaborate with coordinators of funded programs to support outreach, promote initiatives, and identify needs and challenges in project delivery.
  • Maintain accurate records and support the program team with other related administrative duties.

 

You must be

  • Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program in Public Policy, Social Work, Nonprofit Management, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and familiarity with online collaboration tools (e.g., Teams Drive, SharePoint).
  • Interest in nonprofit operations, governance, or policy development.
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree major in Sales / Marketing, or a related discipline

 

What you bring to the team

  • A strong ability to work collaboratively with older adults, staff, and volunteers.
  • High cultural awareness and sensitivity in diverse community settings.
  • Effective communication, public speaking, and presentation skills (an asset).
  • Creativity, attention to detail, and follow-through on tasks.
  • Experience or interest in collaborating with community-dwelling seniors (an asset).
  • Willingness to adapt and take initiative on new tasks.
  • A Vulnerable Sector Screening and/or Police Check is required.
  • Multilingualism is an asset
