Program Description

WoodGreen Community Services is here to help workers to navigate self-employment taxes. The Tax Skills for Self-Employed Workers program equips you with the necessary information and support to confidently track expenses, manage bookkeeping, and file your self-employed tax return and HST/GST returns, all at no cost.

Get Coaching to File your own Tax Return

 

Get support from a knowledgeable Tax Coach to walk you through filing your own self-employed tax return. To schedule an appointment, click the blue “Book your tax appointment” button on the right side of the screen.

 

Eligibility

 

✔ Self-employed individuals who make less than $50,000

✔ Eligibility will be assessed to ensure we can properly support your needs

 

Unfortunately, we are unable to assist with returns for individuals who:

 

❌ Not available for those with registered corporations or employees

❌ Filed for bankruptcy

❌ Have rental income to report

❌ Have capital gains or losses to report

❌ Have investment income of more than $1,000 per year

❌ Filing for a deceased person

Tax Skills for Self-Employed Workers will continue offering limited off-season support to self-employed individuals with:

  • Income tax filing (for 2024 and prior years)
  • HST filing support

 

To confirm availability, please contact us with the information below (Please allow up to 5 business days for a response.)

 

Bookings for 2025 tax return appointments will be opening in February 2026 for appointment dates starting in March 2026.
