The Housing Administrative Support Student will support the Housing team with administrative coordination, tenant engagement, and housing operations across supportive housing communities. This placement provides hands-on experience in housing administration, community development, tenant relations, project coordination, and nonprofit housing services while contributing to programs that promote housing stability and resident well-being.
Responsibilities
• Provide administrative support to Housing staff and operations teams.
• Assist with tenant engagement initiatives and community development activities.
• Support tenant communications and resident-focused programming.
• Assist with housing operations projects, documentation, and administrative processes.
• Support data entry, record maintenance, and general office administration.
• Gain exposure to tenancy matters, stakeholder engagement, and property management practices.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to departmental projects as assigned.
You Must Be
• Currently enrolled in a post-secondary diploma or degree program related to Business Administration, Office Administration, Property Management, Community Development, Social Services, Public Administration, or a related field.
• Interest in housing services, community development, nonprofit administration, or property management.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Shift Hours
• In-person placement.
• Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
• Schedule may be adjusted in consultation with the supervisor and academic requirements.
Commitment
• Approximately 14–35 hours per week.
• Placement continues until the required academic placement hours have been completed.

Traninig
• Volunteer & Student Services Orientation.
• Housing department onboarding.
• Training on housing operations, tenant engagement practices, administrative procedures, and departmental systems.
• Ongoing supervision and mentorship throughout the placement.
