About the position

This position is open to start in Winter 2024 (between December 2024 and April 2024)

 

Responsibilities:

  • Filling document related to Rent-Geared-to-Income Program.
  • Facilitate, support, and encourage engagement of tenants.
  • Housing: assisting housing department in daily tasks (filing and distribution of documents), creating notices, etc.
  • Food Distribution Program: assisting in the distribution of food items to tenant

 

What You Bring to the Team:

  • Currently enrolled in a Social Service Worker Program and requiring placement hours.
  • Communication skills.
  • Computer skills (basic knowledge).
  • Good verbal and written skills.
  • Sensitivity toward the population we work with.
  • Work independently and in team.
  • Ability and discretion for delicate and confidential information.

 

 

Location:

  • 43 Pape Avenue, Toronto

 

Shift hours:

  • 21 hours per week, or 3 full days

 

Commitment:

  • 3-4 months minimum commitment

Training:

  • The Volunteer Services provides orientation training and other career development opportunities
