About the position

WoodGreen has been meeting the UNMET needs of Toronto residents for over 85 years. As a leading social services agency, we provide integrated programs such as physical and mental health services, affordable housing, employment support, financial counselling, childcare, seniors and youth programs and more. Discover how we can support you today.

Program Overview

WoodGreen’s Care for Newcomer Children program provides free, on‑site childcare for parents participating in the Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada (LINC) program. Serving children aged 19 months to school age, the program allows parents to focus on their language learning while knowing their children are supported in the same building.

Our childcare environment is safe, welcoming, and culturally responsive, offering play‑based, developmentally appropriate activities that build early literacy, communication, social skills, and confidence. These experiences help young children establish a strong foundation as they adjust to life in a new country.
