About the Position

The will support the Housing department through research, project coordination, data analysis, and administrative activities. This placement provides an opportunity to gain experience in the non-profit housing sector while contributing to process improvement initiatives, management reporting, and strategic planning projects.

 

Responsibilities

  • Support research projects related to best practices in the non-profit housing sector.
  • Assist with special projects focused on process improvement, service delivery enhancements, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Compile, organize, and analyze non-confidential housing portfolio data.
  • Support management reporting, project planning, and strategic decision-making activities.
  • Assist in the development of presentations, briefing materials, dashboards, and project summaries.
  • Provide administrative and project support to departmental initiatives as assigned.

 

You Must Be

  • Currently enrolled in a college or university program.
  • Available to complete a placement of 20–35 hours per week.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

 

What You Bring to the Team

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams.
  • Strong research, data collection, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Experience with project coordination, reporting, data analysis, or process improvement is considered an asset.

 

Shift Hours

  • Approximately 20–35 hours per week.
  • Schedule to be determined in consultation with the supervisor.

 

Commitment

  • Minimum 3-month placement.
  • Available during Winter, Spring, Summer, Fall 2026, or Winter 2027 placement terms.

 

Screening Requirements

  • Resume review.
  • Interview.
  • Demonstrated interest in research, administration, project coordination, or housing services.

 

Training

  • Volunteer and Student Services Orientation.
  • Department-specific onboarding and training.
  • Ongoing supervision, guidance, and project support.
