About the Position

The Teacher’s Assistant will support digital literacy and Microsoft Office training initiatives within the Homeward Bound program. This placement provides practical experience in instructional support, curriculum development, educational technology, and adult learning.

 

Responsibilities

  • Review and improve student handouts and learning materials.
  • Create instructional videos on Microsoft Office topics.
  • Support the development of self-correcting quizzes and learning activities.
  • Support database updates and administrative tasks.
  • Support with the preparation and delivery of Microsoft Office training sessions.

 

You Must Be

  • Current college or university student.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Educational background in Business, Computer Science, or a related field.

Shift Hours

  • Hybrid placement.
  • Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
  • Approximately 20 hours per week.

 

Commitment

  • Summer placement.
  • Approximately 20 hours per week.

Training

  • Volunteer and Student Services Orientation.
  • Homeward Bound onboarding.
  • Training on curriculum and program resources.
