The Placement Student, Seniors Active Living Centres will support programs and services that promote social inclusion, wellness, and community engagement for older adults. This placement offers hands-on experience in recreation programming, community development, event coordination, and senior-focused services.
Responsibilities
- Support Seniors Active Living Centre programming and activities.
- Assist with community engagement initiatives and seniors-focused projects.
- Support Food Markets and other wellness-related programs.
- Assist with program planning, implementation, and evaluation activities.
- Support participant engagement and administrative activities as required.
You Must Be
- Current college or university student.
- Interest in seniors’ services, recreation, gerontology, or community development.
- Ability to commit to a placement of 300–500 hours.

Shift Hours
- In-person placement.
- Multiple SALC locations across Toronto.
- Generally Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Commitment
- 300–500 placement hours.
- 3–6 month commitment preferred (6 months ideal).
