Program Overview
The Community Connections Program fosters relationships between recent newcomers, Internationally Trained Professionals, and established volunteers from East Toronto and beyond. By connecting participants with public institutions, private sector businesses, and community members, the program offers valuable resources to help newcomers adapt to the Canadian workforce, settle into their new environment, and thrive. Our goal is to support integration while contributing to a welcoming, inclusive, and diverse community.
As a Volunteer Facilitator for our English Conversation Circle (ECC), you’ll play a key role in this mission. You’ll lead small group sessions for job seekers with beginner-level English skills, helping them build confidence, practice speaking, and connect with their new communities. Your time and voice could be the crucial support someone needs to take their next step toward employment and successful integration in Canada.
