About the Job

• Perform financial capacity assessment to determine eligibility for debt restructuring programs
• Interview consumers with respect to their financial situation to determine their eligibility for enrollment in Hardship programs to assist with debt management.
• Research and evaluate consumer’s financial status, credit and ability to repay the liability
(Consumer proposals, bankruptcy, debt consolidation)
• Assist consumers by proposing solutions to address financial objectives such as debt management or consolidation
• Negotiate and assist consumers with feasible repayment solutions to delinquent financial products such as credit cards and loans
• Analyze consumer financial situation and offering promotions/services, as applicable, for the products based on consumer analysis
• Complete, submit and recommend credit restructure applications to lenders for approval or rejection
• Propose solutions to address financial objectives with respect to debt management or consolidation
• Promote, refer and validate 3rd party lenders and products
• Review and update credit and loan files
• Provide updated financial information to various banks and reporting entities
• Clearly and concisely document the details of each inbound and/or outbound interactions
• Prepare communications on delinquent accounts and forward irreconcilable accounts for both
collector and legal action
• Follow regulations and guidelines as per provincial, federal legislation and client specific directives
• Other duties as assigned
