About the position

Community Active Response for Elder Support (CARES) Project is a volunteer-driven project created to deliver flexible, personalized, and practical support services to low-income and vulnerable seniors to Age well at home.



  • Work closely with the volunteer coordinators to ensure that programs complete the necessary documentation of volunteer activities.
  • Assist in volunteer recruitment, event planning and training administrative work • Completes and maintains all records and forms regarding volunteers and project activity enrollment, using a volunteer database.
  • Perform other clerical and administrative duties to support the work of Volunteer Services.


What You Bring to the Team:

  • A caring and compassionate nature, eager to make a positive impact within the lives of


  • Enrolled in an academic institution and required to complete a placement.
  • Demonstrated administrative or customer relations skills.
  • Proficiency in computer skills including MS Office Suite, comfortable using online platforms and with conducting internet research.
  • Ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information.
  • Enjoy interacting with seniors, with creative ideas for social and leisure activities.
  • Self-directed, independent, flexible and exercise good judgment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to connect with people from diverse backgrounds and build strong working relationships.


Shift hours

18 hours per week, 3-month commitment
