Homeward Bound Communities
The Homeward Bound Community of Practice is a network of agencies that are each delivering a Homeward Bound program in their local community. Supported by WoodGreen Community Services, the Community of Practice provides pre-implementation supports, program resources, capacity building activities and ongoing ad-hoc support to bolster local adaptations of the Homeward Bound model.
Currently, the Homeward Bound Community of Practice supports four Homeward Bound programs outside of Toronto. Please see below for a list of Homeward Bound Partners.
Home Suite Hope (Halton)
“Based in Oakville and serving the Regional Municipality of Halton, Home Suite Hope (HSH) helps single-parent families facing homelessness access long-term housing and supports beyond what emergency shelters can provide.”
Employment and Education Centre (Brockville)
“Based in Brockville and serving the United Counties of Leeds and Grenville, the Employment and Education Centre (EEC) is committed to helping individuals attain the education, life skills, and employment opportunities they need to enhance their quality of life and to prosper.”
Peterborough Housing Corporation (Peterborough)
“Peterborough Housing Corporation (PHC) is the largest social housing provider in the City of Peterborough, with over 1000 units of senior, single and family units throughout the City and County of Peterborough.”
Brant Skills Centre (Brantford)
“Serving the City of Brantford and surrounding Brant County, Brant Skills Center provides free and confidential literacy and essential skills training to adults who are looking for independence, education and training, and employment.”
