Service: Sisters in Action Youth Program
Type: Children & Youth, Immigrant Settlement

Sisters in Action holds a Homework Help after school on Wednesday’s from 3:30- 4:30pm at Wilkinson Public School for students in Grade 1-6. The Homework Help program is pleased to accept young women from the community (between the ages of 13-24 years) who would like to volunteer with the students. Benefits for volunteering include:
  • Experience for your resume
  • Experience for scholarship applications and future volunteer positions
  • Volunteers hours for High School Diploma
  • Reference letter on the completion of the program, available by
  • Certificate, upon completion of the program.

PROGRAM COMPONENTS:
Provide support to young Muslim women to integrate into Canadian Society, build leadership skills and build physical and social recreation skills. Mentorship pogram for volunteer development.

PROGRAM RESTRICTIONS:
Female only
