Building Healthier Neighbourhoods

Building on our roots of being a neighbourhood community centre, WoodGreen continues to branch out to provide neighbourhood programs to the people of East Toronto. With locations at Pape Avenue and Queen Street, and Donlands and Cosburn, we offer a safe and enriching environment to children and youth – both after-school and on weekends – while supporting isolated families to better integrate within the community.

What do we offer?

Serving hundreds of families each year, WoodGreen’s neighbourhood programs are designed to promote community participation and build healthier neighbourhoods. Our programs include:

  • after-school clubs
  • school readiness programs
  • children’s reading circles
  • summer camps
  • piano lessons
  • community kitchens
  • parenting workshops
  • family support groups
  • community trips
  • youth leadership and anti-violence initiatives

What can you expect?

WoodGreens’s neighbourhood programs are open to individuals and families who live within walking distance of our Neighbourhood Houses. All of our programs are FREE, but do require that you register in advance since space is limited. If you would like to find out more about how to register or what’s available in your neighbourhood, please call 416-469-5211 ext. 1112.
